Kids Clay Whistles 6/18/25
PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING:
The class will be at 3:00pm and will be approximately an 2-2.5 hours long. Ages 8-15. We ask that children between the age of 8 and 12 are accompanied by an adult (adults are more than welcome to sit in the classroom and observe or sit in our main studio and paint at a discounted price).
What to expect:
-learning various hand building pottery techniques
-learn how to make a clay whistle
-all clay and supplies are provided
For this class experience, you do NOT paint your piece during the 4 class sessions. After the last class, we allow your piece to dry and then we fire it the first time. Then we invite you back after your piece has been fired to come and paint your masterpiece anytime during our normal business hours (painting your piece is included in the price of the class, it is not a separate charge). You then leave it with us to fire for a second time. After the second firing you will be able to take home your piece and show it off to your family and friends!
Please note this is a handbuilding session, not wheel throwing. Ceramics is an unpredictable medium and undesirable outcomes may include cracks/warping/separation at joints and breakage in the kiln. Participant understands we can not guarantee results.
